Nursing grads to seek lifting of CA TRO
A group of nursing graduates is set to file on Monday a petition to lift the temporary restraining order on oath-taking ceremonies of new nurses, TV Patrol World reported Sunday.
"Why are they being punished? The oath-taking should already push through so the board passers can find jobs and help their parents," Rene Saguisag, the group's lawyer, said.
The Court of Appeals issued the restraining order based on a petition submitted by a nursing professor of the University of Santo Tomas and the League of Concerned Nurses due to an alleged leakage in the June 2006 licensure exams.
The Professional Regulation Commission earlier revealed that George Cordero, Philippine Nursing Association president, paid P7 million to get a leakage of the board exams. Cordero has denied the allegation.
Dante Ang, Commission of Filipino Overseas chairman, has proposed a mandatory retake of the exam, particularly Tests 3 and 5, to remove the stigma of the leakage.

It's about time!
If we have allowed these people at first to go on with their selfish parade, this time, we will put them in their proper places.
We will not take this sitting down.
Pro-retake: be reminded that nurses nowadays are composed of individuals that have come from different professions already. You are not dealing here purely with fresh grad students whom you think you can just push around anytime and expect to just swallow whatever solution you have in mind to address this dilemma. Rest assured that we will fight this case with you heads up till the end.
