There is a controversial conflict between me and the other three reviewers there about this question:
A client with leukemia has neutropenia. Which of the following functions must be frequently assessed?
A. Blood pressure
B. Bowel sounds
C. Temperature
D. Breath Sounds
ANSWER : BREATH SOUNDS
Pneumonia, both viral and funal is a common cause of death in clients with neutropenia, so frequent assessment of respiratory rate and breath sounds is required. Although assessing blood pressure, bowel sounds and temperature is important, it wont help detect pneumonia

Another thing, the earliest and the most reliable sign of infection among elderly is the ALTERATION OF MENTATION and not FEVER. this is again, from brunner and suddarths 10th edition CD on the chapter of FUNDAMENTALS OF NURSING.
I learned at an early age that I should tell good things about other people and not the contrary. Once they heard that I am talking good things about them, they will do the same.
