Nursing license depends on NBI Investigation, We Will not think twice to revoke it - PRC

Amidst the celebration of almost 17,000 newly licensed nurses as the Professionals Regulation Commission released the long awaited June 2006 National Licensure Examination for Nurses, There are no reasons to celebrate at all.
According to the recent statement of the Professionals Regulation Commission, Results are not yet FINAL and once an examinee has been proven cheating, They will not think twice to revoke their license and bar the ex-professional from practicing the profession.
NBI has now the case as forwarded by the commission, And depending on the investigation of the NBI, there is a possiblity to null the examination if the investigating body concludes that the leakage is non quantifiable, opening the possibility for a re-examination.
29 out of 70 topnotchers are from R.A Gapuz review center.
" It just fairs in comparison to the previous June 2003 board exams where we got 45 spots " In a statement made by Ray Gapuz.
According to PNA President George Cordero, The review center boast an unbelievably high passing rate.
" If they have such 98% passing rate, then why is the passing rate in the Nursing Licensure exam 42%? Isn't it supposed to be higher? " In a statement made by Mr. George Cordero.
The topnotchers, from 1 to 10 including Gringo De Guzman, the topnotcher, who got 83.20% in the recent board examination was from R.A.Gapuz Review Center that has been recently drag into the leakage issue.
" The commission will not think twice to revoke their licenses if proven that they've cheated " According to the PRC.
Yesterday, the review center "ADMITTED" that they distributed the "LEAKAGE" But they claim that they never knew that it was the exact manuscript that will be asked in the board exams because it was just faxed by a student. The review center admitted that they haven't carefully checked the source and they only asked the reviewees if they are intrested to get a copy.

that's soooo unfair, i don't think it's possible for them to cancel the nursing exam results. it would have been better if they canceled the exam before the results were released.

i just want to clarify, Gringo De Guzman did not review at RAGRC. Nagreview ata sya somewhere in Manila (but not with RAGRC) accdg sa news by TV Patrol Northern Luzon. The highest RAGRC passer was the 3rd topnotcher. And 22 out of the 70 (not 29) ang nagreview sa RAGRC.

its not only unfair but undeniably just sour graping sa part ni Mr. George Cordero...di ako nag enrol sa anumang review center but thank God i passed...eh ano kung mataas sa Gapuz? Masakit ba kasi wala atang pumasa sa review center niya? i looked sa averaged ng nursing school niya and its just a poor 32% who passed and i heard na his own dear son failed in the said exam...tsk tsk tsk...Paano kung baliktad ang nagyari at yung review center naman niya ang maraming nag-top magcomment pa kaya siya ng ganyan kairresponsible na statements? Mr. Cordero bago mo pansinin ang dumi sa mukha ng ibang tao eh tumingin ka muna sa salamin at baka magulat ka na mas maraming putik ang nakapulapol sa mukha mo!...Baka makalkal ang totoo eh di mo kayanin ang repercussions nito...hindi lahat ng gusto mo eh syang masusunod...

for the benefit of all, our batchmate, gringo de guzman san diego, took his intensive review at Review University for Nurses, Inc. (RUN) in sta. mesa, manila. He reviewed there with the nursing graduates of UP. however, with our opposition, our school's in-house review was conducted by gapuz. many of us took our intensive review at different review centers like northcap, pentagon in baguio and manila, and some (less than 20) in gapuz. majority of us took our intensive review at northcap. the problem is, gapuz is claiming that our very own gringo is their reviewee. there lies the problem of these review centers claiming such and such.

by the way, gringo de guzman san diego was a cum laude of our batch. in fact he did well in his intensive review as manifested in the mock board exam conducted by RUN.

just wana clarify.. it wasnt Review University for Nurses (RUN) that Gringo de Guzman San Diego attended a review at, it was UNIVERSITY REVIEW CENTER (URC), which is located in sta. mesa..
here's a part of an article, which was written by Yolanda Sotelo-Fuertes in Phil. Daily Inquirer on july 20:
“He topped the pre-board examinations given by the University Review Center in Sta. Mesa where there were 600 examinees. So I knew he had a big chance of being in the Top 10,” she said.

the topnotcher from the univ. of pangasinan REALLY was a reviewee of RA Gapuz. want proof? check out the RA Gapuz' ad in the newspaper.. inquirer ata un dated july 21, 2006. he claimed that 9 out of 10 places in the topnotchers were from his review center. and the 1st placer was there, though his name did not actually appear in print. but there's no doubt, he is the sole holder of that spot...

hey RUN reviewee.. my naninira sa review center niu, sabi nia ung top1 hu's GRINGO, eh my leakage din kasi they come from the same center. true? hanapin mo ung comment na yan sa ibang atricles dito. or baka bitter lng yun kasi failed xa.
