Palace orders PRC to suspend nurses’ oath-taking

MALACAÑANG has ordered the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) to suspend administering the oath to new nurses after the Court of Appeals ruled a “selective retake” on the June licensure exams.

Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita said the court decision would become final and executory only 15 days after it has been received by the PRC.

At the same time, Ermita said Labor Secretary Arturo Brion would "try to exert effort at conciliation" with stakeholders who might appeal the court decision.

Ermita said these decisions were firmed up in a meeting with Brion and Solicitor General Antonio Eduardo Nachura in Malacañang Monday.

"While the Court of Appeals decision was handed down October 13, it has not been served yet to PRC, and even if it has been served it would take another 15 days to become final and executory, so DoLE thought it prudent to instruct PRC not to administer the oath today [Monday]," Ermita said in a news briefing Monday.

Ermita also said that the National Bureau of Investigation has been asked to submit to DoLE a list of those who enrolled in the review centers of Gapuz, Inress, and Pentagon so that this could be matched with the list of those who passed.

The three centers are being investigated after being linked to the leakage in the board exam.

Amid the investigation, Ermita said the 1,687 students whom the court had ordered to retake tests 3 and 5, where the alleged leaked questions came from, could go higher.

"We are trying to identify who attended the last session in these three review centers who may have passed and therefore if it is determined that they are not yet in that 1,687 then they will also be ordered to retake only on tests 3 and 5," Ermita said.

Ermita also said President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo would accept the resignation of the members of the Board of Nursing of the PRC, which had supervised the tests. He said Brion had a list of replacements for the board.

He said the new members of the board would supervise the retake and the regular nursing exams when they are given on December 2 and 3.

Simple lang ibig sabihin- PALPAK ang PRC. Noon pang simula, palpak na. Bakit kasi manipulate ng manipulate ng scores?

Ako mataas average ko at di naman borderline. Bakit ako pinaparetake? pakisabi sa mga kasam natin, wag si Grace Urquiaga Pacleb ang gawing spokesperson kasi mayabang siya at walang respeto at selfish magsalita. At saka matanda na siya. Halatang malapit nang mag50 years old. Marami sa atin na ayaw sa retake ang ayaw din sa kanya. Bat di rin tayo ang pagsalitain at baka maawa ang mga officials? Si Tita (Matanda, e) Grace kasi, nakakaturn-off ang dating. Parang ginagamit niya ang issue para sumikat. Laging siya ang nasa TV. Bakit siya e mas marami namang credible na magsalita.

NO to RETAKE even for the 1687!!! NO to GRACE PACLEB!!!
NO to PRC!!!

Haynaku, KURAK ka dyan. Ayaw ko rin kay Grace Pacleb or Pacquaio? Parang boxer ang dating sa laki ng katawan. Mayabang nga at kung magsalita dinadamay tayo. Siya lang naman ang natutuwa sa PRC. Balita namin nagreview sa Gapuz. At nag-aral daw ian na di nagduty kasi takot instructors sa kanya. Mas matanda siya e. Halatang ginagamit nga niya ang nursing issue para sumikat. Apir ng apir sa TV. She is not the best and most credible person to speak for us. Dapat ang magsalita, yung mga bata na gaya natin na di third courser. Sa tanda niya, baka pa nga fourth courser siya. Mayabang si Pacleb. Down with GRACE PACLEB. Tumigil ka na sa kadadakdak dahil nakakasira ka sa diskarte ng no-retakers! Sa true lang.

NO TO RETAKE!!!!

Sa totoo lang di siguro lumala ito kung hindi si Grace inihaharap natin na ayaw sa retake. Sabi nga nung makaretake, gusto nila ng retake para lang mahirapan si Grace kasi mayabang. Nakakasira sa ating krusada ang tabain na iyan. Talaga namang ginamit niya itong issue para sumikat. Never heard naman ang taong iyan bago itong nursing scandal. Kumbaga nagride-on siya. At puri siya ng puri kay Rosero. Kaya tuloy marami ang naghihinala sa pagpasa niya. Gracia, sana tumigil ka na at pabayaan mo kaming mga bata na magtrabaho. Magrest ka. Mas makakatulong ka kung itikom mo ang bibig mo. Siguro, mag-gym ka na lang. Balitaan ka rin namin sa nangyayari, otei?
