FOLLOWING the reversal of the Philippine Nurses Association of its original stand for a re-take in the scandal-tainted nursing board exam, PNA officials have agreed to resign, an official said Monday.

Marco Sto. Tomas, vice president of the Association of Deans of Colleges of Nursing, said he received information that “chairpersons of major departments and committees of the PNA agreed this afternoon to resign from their posts and make these official by tomorrow.”

“The move was prompted by the reversion of their stand on the leakage and for their lack of confidence on the PNA,” he said in an exchange of text messages.

Sto. Tomas said four of six major departments and three of 11 committees were among those who would quit their posts.

“Others are expected to follow,” he added, even as he declined to name them yet.

A total of 42,006 nursing graduates took the board examinations on June 11 and 12. Forty-two percent or 17,871 of the examinees passed.

Accusations of test leakages surfaced after an examinee complained that other board takers had admitted to obtaining a copy of the answers three days before the licensure tests.

good riddance!

I agree ... good riddance!!! We don't want PNA leaders who betray their own. The PNA is better off without you. You cannot bully everyone in the PNA. You are not the PNA ... members should be consulted as to their unified stand. You are just sulking losers na hindi nasunod ang kapritso.

PNA will be much better without you guys.....hehehehe.It will be more peaceful!hehehe
