PRC: Nursing exam result valid
PRC: Nursing exam result valid
The Professional Regulation Commission on Tuesday declared the June 2006 Nursing Licensure Examination valid, ABS-CBN News reported.
PRC, however, said graduates who would want a re-take of Tests 3 and 5 or the entire examination can do so in December though the questions in the modules will be changed.
"[Kung] gusto nilang i-prove na matapang sila kuha sila lahat (If they want to prove that they can do it, they can take the re-test)," Leonor Rosero, PRC chairwoman, said.
The re-take will be free of charge, the agency said. The commission said the nursing board exam was fraud-free despite accusations of leakage of test questions to some examinees.
The agency also said the re-take will not be compulsory and that those who took the June 11-12 examination will still receive the results as they are graded according to Board of Nursing standards.
PRC, meanwhile, said the oath-taking of those who passed the June board exam will push through. The ceremony, however, could be delayed. The date will be announced later, PRC said.

There's wisdom in that decision, don't you think? They made a decision that was fair and just for everyone. But they should pursue the investigation until those responsible will be punished.

PRCs decision is fair enough for everybody! Its true dat if u really want to prove something for yourself then go for the retake but if you are confident enough with your scores then u dont need a re-take! that's it!

The PRC's decision for an optional retake was indeed "Solomonic" -- very wise! Those who passed already and still demand for a retake -- this is your moment. Prove to us that you can make it again. For me, who passed the exam with a clear conscience - no need for me to prove anything. They say the retake should have been mandatory for all in order for a cleansing of the nursing profession to take place. Why do I need cleansing? I passed the board fair and square - without the leakage. Let those handful cheats bear in their conscience the mess that they have placed us into. Judgment day will come to them eventually - if not in this lifetime, in the after life for sure.
To PRC, CONGRATULATIONS ON A VERY WISE DECISION!!! DIONISIO AND MADEJA --- SHAME ON YOU!!!!
