The nursing leakage scandal has been so blown up that it has been the focus of medias every single day, and it pains me so much, since i have been so unfortunate to be a part of the June 2006 nursing board exam. I'm proud to say, that i am part of the June 2006 batch, because everyone wants to put us down.."wala pa nga kami sa taas, hinahatak na kami pababa"..which is a very typical Filipino attribute, ain't i right?..
Government
i am neither a pro nor an anti administration.frankly, i don't give a damn on how the country is being run, as long as i wasn't affected. i have never been an activist, for i believe that rallying is such a waste of time and effort.but now i understand, they're fighting for their rights...they're fighting for their lives. The president had given us her stand, she said that the guilty would be punished, but the innocent ones should be spared, and we held on to her word.who wouldn't?...its the president's word.but then a sudden turn, she asked for a mandatory retake, only then again to change her stand for a third time. Sad to say, this is OUR LIVES, and yet we have no control over it.i hate it when politicians butt in, its something that they shouldn't involve themselves in, but what the heck, its election soon, and they certainly need all the exposure they could get.Their opinions don't matter to us, we don't need them, and they are certainly of no help to the recent scandal.they are only making it WORSE, but what do they care?...its not their life, its OURS.
Education Institutions
Its of no surprise if i would say that if there would be a hate club for UST, I'll definitely be a member.we have endured far enough, and its way too much to bear nor to tolerate.so much time has been wasted, OUR TIME. and what the heck, just add another 15 days, since 4 months has already been wasted anyway, it definitely wont matter...TO THEM atleast.its not their time.it pains me...uhmm..no..it ANGERS me, that it was published that 4 TOP schools are pushing for a retake..but may i ask, are they supported by their own graduates?...no they're not,.. just their DEANS.the media doesn't have to elaborate on that, mas mabenta yon kasi mas catchy ang heading.i no longer believe in integrity,to hell with integrity if it would bring INJUSTICE to us.
Media
aah, media, a very powerful tool. now, i know what irresponsible journalism is, its all over the Philippines! i have never seen such biased personalities!...a have no background in journalism, but i do know this...A JOURNALIST SHOULD NEVER BE BIASED, the Philippines need a lot of help, and biased journalists should have no place in the media...but they certainly seems to fit in quite perfectly in the Philippines...
Injustice
this is not just about retaking the exam anymore, its about injustice. why cant people understand that?i thought the Philippines is a democratic country? what's the use of the law, if it cant protect the innocent?
my fellow board takers
you all know very well what questions came out during the exam...they were opinionated and certainly not the things we have studied during our 4 year course.and it pisses me off, when i hear fellow board takers saying that, a retake should be done so as to guard the safety of the lives of the patients.Huh?..did we take the same exam?were the questions asked, asked about TB,STROKE,HEART ATTACK,PNEUMONIA,IV THERAPY ETC.?the things that should have been asked since its the basic and what we ought to know for it is the common illness of FILIPINOS?hay, nagpapasikat ka ba?so as to appear that you want to safeguard the health of our people?...in life, nothing is for sure, and I'm sure most of my fellow passers would agree...that we passed because we deserved it..and we had the element of LUCK...those people said..."pumasa kayo dahil JUST GOT LUCKY"...does that mean you don't need lady luck on your side?...hmm,hypocrites!
my country
my country...hopeless?...i don't think so, because hope is lost only when you give up. but i have fear that i might lose hope,...not right now, but soon...not because of my own faith, but because of the selfish people around us.what would become of us?i can only imagine...

i thought passing the nursing board exam would be my last sacrifice and after this it's pay back time to my parents..considering this is my 2nd course, i owe them a lot especially financially.i bet a lot of passers would agree that the agony we have right now is greater than failing the boards...but i still believe that God has a purpose why these things happen..and i hope God will hear us that this mess will end sooner..so passers keep the faith..i still believe that theres still justice even it has been 4months..

"you all know very well what questions came out during the exam...they were opinionated and certainly not the things we have studied during our 4 year course." I hope that the new BON take note of this, and rosero if she is really the head of PRC....she should make policies that would correct this problem...and make the exam relevant to Nursing...

"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, Than are dreamt of in your philosophy."
Hamlet said this to his friend Horatio after speaking with the ghost of his father...to express his bewilderment on speaking ghosts, and murdering brothers, and remarrying wives may exist outside the moral framework of the average man but that these things occur in the real world....
Just as greedy board members, arrogant and judgemental nurses, cruel people, lying presidents, bias journalists... are outside the moral framework of an ordinary student but do exist in the Philippines.

LCC,i am no bleeding heart but my heart is bleeding for all of the likes of you. A lot of people are indeed hurt by the mindless, heartless and careless way our supposed protectors have done againts us. This event prod a lot of more people to escape rather than fight injustice in this land. We are now the 20th century wandering people not because of foreign conquerors but because of the incapacity of our own leaders to govern us with fairness, humility and sensitivity.

im not againts in retake nor in no retake. its just the best solution to this scandal is retake. its so hard to pinpoint who benefited and who is not. you are telling us that theres no justice here in the phils. well, do you think if theres no retake, there will be justice? do you think all who benefited in the leakaged will be punish? I DONT THINK SO!
i think a no retake is injustice and a retake is just right for us. y? we study hard to earned it and they will label us a cheater, not worthy of our licenses. so we have to prove them that they are not right. we have to prove them that heart and brain is better than their mouth!

If only they have objectivity in the local nursing exam...... we would not have a problem on the retake...
for many passer know they were just really lucky.... and are definitely afraid that they might not have that luck on a retake....why can't BON pattern their exam from the NCLEX, since NCLEX exam are american textbook based like lippincotts or saunders....which i undertand is in authority on upholding nursing
standard..

You initially say that you are not againts retake or no retake. However you later say that you are for retake because it is more just. You further say that retake is just because you cannot identify who cheated or not. Is it not the other way around,i.e. if you cannot identify the cheater you have to let them go rather than punish them?Just for logic and coherence. I respect your view.

6:16 blogger,
I highly AGREE with you on that!

i sed the best solution in this scandal is a retake. maybe i just have an open mind than you.

letting all batch 2006 retake d board exam is d best solution? i disagree, why? if there will be a retake cheaters can pass the retake by knowledge or by luck, legitimate passers may fail by unluck or poor mental and emotional condition due 2 d scandal, now if the retake result comes out can you say that those who fail are the ones who cheated during the first exam and the individuals who passed were the honest ones. Well isnt it better if you identify who the cheaters are and let them do a re examination, yes it is "difficult" to identify who specifically among the reviewees of the 3 review centers benefited from the leakage but it doesnt mean it is "impossible" to be done - the fact of the matter is NBI and DOJ already started listing names. Isa lang mapatunayan diyan magtuturuan na yan. " Stating a reason that cheaters cant be identified is the real cover up of this cheating mess"

there is no way i am going to retake the nle just for the sake of a profession... i am a human being... there is more to me, and the other june 2006 nle board passers, than a profession.
no profession should be above the dignity of a person nor that person's right to self-determination...

poster 10;28, the retake issue is just to cleanse the batch 2006. i didnt say that all who pass in the retake will be the honest one and the one who didnt make it is the cheater. and dont tell me that they will not going to make it the second time around. dont tell me lahat ng inaral nila sa review center ay nakalimutan na nila dahil lang pumasa na? well, cguro this is the test that will show the whole country that this batch is better than the other batch because we can say that we passed the nle not once but twice. and u can say now that i passed becoz i study hard and noy by luck.

i am one of those who took the june 2006 nursing exam, but unfortuntaly, i didn't passed. it was really painful upon knowing that there were students who just passed because of the leak...we'll kung naisahan nila ang marami, i believe that one day sisingiling din sila, hindi sa batas ng tao pero the law of God...makakakarma din kayo!!!!!!
i truly believed that God has a better plan for me, baka iniwas lang niya ako sa controversy na yan!!!!
well, for those who passed honestly congrats!!!i know you are now suffering, dont wori may awa c Lord, baka He is just testing your faith in him...
and for those who failed but did not cheated like me...at least malinis ang consensya natin, noh!!!
God Bless!
Good Luck!

wrong 'argument' ka po tanggapin mo na... kung 'retake' ka we respect ur decision... but u can't impose that to all board passers, especiall the 'legit' board passers who didn't benefit from leakage!
or maybe, mayaman parents mo sa abroad... at di mo naintindihan ang value ng 'time & money'... dahil wala ka pang pamilya...
every single minute na na-delay ang issuance ng aming RN licenses counts!... It is equivalent to P300 (min wage) x hr x day x wk x months x 17,000 board passers!

i am a parent. may i ask how did you prepare for your board exams? is it pure studying? did you not prepare your entire body system for it? did you not consider that you must be psychologically fit to take the exams?
now tell me, how would you rate the psychological status of those ANGRY

continuation of the above comment:
yes, tell me how would you rate the psychological status of ANGRY board passers? do you think they were as psychologically prepared then and now?
i told you, as a parent, i do not and will not support a retake of the exam because i know how my son prepared for that june board examinations, physically, mentally, psychologically, spiritually. so will you expect me also to be supportive of a retake?
