Health Undersecretary Jade del Mundo of the Philippines said the country's bustling medical tourism program is opening doors to more nurses particularly those who passed the controversial June 2006 nursing board exams.
The official said in an interview with the PDI, "There won't be any discrimination."
He said the multi-million dollar industry would be expanding in the provinces next year and will affiliate more hospitals. These could provide opportunities for the June 2006 nursing board passers.
Prominent hospitals in Metro Manila like St. Luke's Medical Center, Asian Hospital, Medical City, Makati Medical Center, Capitol Medical Center, Lung Center, Philippine Heart Center, National Kidney and Transplant Institute, Philippine Children's Medical Center and East Avenue Medical Center, were affiliated in the program.
