Information for June 2006 NLE Passers

Hi Guys,

If you would want to get your grades in the recent board exams you could go to PRC and they would be giving it to you. You just get this piece of paper (1/4 size) and the records section fills it up for you. Also you can get a certificate of passing which basically certifies that you passed the NLE but this comes with a fee.

There are no requirements needed to be brought to be able to get this EXCEPT money for the fees and also an identification card.

The certification has 2 prices they have the EXPRESS which takes about an hour and half to process the document so you would be able to get it the same day but the document costs 200 pesos per document. For REGULAR process its 75 pesos per document and you can get it after 2 days. Added expense also include documentary stamp which cost around 21 pesos per document.

Lines are still quite manageable at PRC but it might grow in number these next few days with the release of oath taking tickets coming up... as announced in PRC tickets would start to be released on August 1, 2006. Please just check the site for any changes or development in the schedule.

Congratulations to us and god bless everyone!

NBI sets probe on nursing exams leakage

Article posted July 21, 2006, 7:06 pm

The National Bureau of Investigation will start next week its probe on the reported leakage in the nursing licensure examinations last month as requested by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

Lawyer Elfren Meneses, NBI assistant regional director and chief of anti-fraud and computer crime division, said Friday they would start questioning witnesses and other individuals next week.

Meneses said they already read the 300-page document submitted by the PRC. The commission already finished its own investigation on the incident and came out with its report and recommendation.

Meneses said the bureau would focus on the criminal aspect of the incident; the persons, including the accomplice, who could be held liable; and how the leakage happened.

“The PRC had done the administrative aspect and we were informed that the two examiners were asked to inhibit from their duties pending the probe," he said.

He said agents would be sent to the review centers in Baguio, Cebu, Davao and Manila to get a clearer picture of the supposed leakage.

Only 17,821 out of 42,006 examinees passed the Nurse Licensure Examination given by the Board of Nursing from June 11 to 12, 2006.

The exam, given in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga, had five subjects, each with 100 questions.

Administrator Rosalinda Baldoz of the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) earlier said the reported leakage has tainted the credibility of the government-sponsored examination and is likely to affect the deployment of Filipino nurses abroad.

“We are not being favorably considered to host the NCLEX due to alleged forgeries and fraud in the licensure examinations. This has tainted the credibility of our nursing (board) exams," Baldoz said.

She noted that with this new incident, the possibility of deploying nurses in the US as well as other parts of the world where Filipino nurses are preferred would be at risk, including that of other skilled Filipino workers. - GMANews.TV
