Labor and Employment Secretary Arturo D. Brion bared yesterday that they are now checking the scores of all 42,000 nursing graduates who took the controversial 2006 Nursing Board Examination.
"We are conducting verification of their grades and the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) computation. We see a lot of aberrations. We will in due time make our findings public," Brion told reporters in an interview at the launching of the govern-ment's anti-illegal recruitment campaign at the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) main office in Manda-luyong City.
Brion also maintained that he stopped the PRC from proceeding with the oath-taking of nurses who passed the examination so as not to complicate matters pending the finality of the Court of Appeals (CA) decision.

He reiterated that any move on the issue, such as the implementation of the CA decision prior to its finality, will only complicate matters and prevents an early resolution and closure of the case.
In doing his move, Brion clarified that he is he just performing his duty under Executive Order No. 565-A that attaches the PRC to the Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE) for general direction and coordination.
Following the October 13, 2006 CA decision ordering selective retake of the nursing licensure exam, Brion, a former CA associate justice, wrote the appellate court suggesting the adoption of the mediation and conciliation approach that has proven successful in resolving cases even on appeal.
Earlier, Brion appealed to families of nursing examinees and other stakeholders for sobriety until the CA decision becomes final.

OBVIOUSLY, MR. BRION IS INCOMPETENT TO HANDLE THE CASE SINCE HE CAN NOT SHOW ANY CLEAR EVIDENCE ON HIS REASON OF 'FURTHER DELAYING' THE EXECUTION OF THE CA RULING!!!!
WE WANT OUR LICENSE NOW!!!
NO TO RETAKE!!!
NO TO DELAY!!!
WE WANT MR. BRION TO RESIGN!!!
