Review center denies ‘role’ in nursing exam

The Institute of Reviews and Special Studies (Inress) is not in any way involved in the June 2006 licensure examination for nurses, its officials said yesterday.

According to them, through the years, Inress has always provided quality review sessions for aspiring nurses all over the country.

"The recent board exam scam has beclouded the integrity of the nursing profession, not just in the country, but also throughout the world. It is sad to note that this had to happen at a time when our country is struggling to market the health care industry," they said in a press statement.

"Although it has been unfair that certain individuals have been irresponsibly linking the review center to such scam, Inress will unconditionally support the investigation that the government is presently conducting," they added.

"With all these in consideration, Inress categorically denies the malicious implication that some irresponsible camps have thrown to the review center."
